The Rooster Men’s season opener at home was a great day of football but came with some mixed results.
Our Moddies and Minis showed some tremendous enthusiasm to get out on the field. These kids got the day started with immense positivity shown by all.
Our Junior Colts have seen some new families and players come over to SFC this year. Kale Matthews-Hampton will be one to watch, already making his entry into the best players.?
Our Senior Colts had a tough day at the office but didn’t drop their heads. There were some good individual efforts to be seen across the ground during the game. After a brutally tough match Tom Scott, Jack Wheaton, Jasper Martin, Ethan Kamminga, Ethan Fox, Jay Kemmis and Jesse Milne all stepped up and did various volunteering duties, to continue to contribute after their game. Thanks lads ❤️
Our Reserves put in a solid performance both on and off the field and this team gets the “Rooster Volunteer of the Round?”acknowledgment for their contributions in the BBQ shed and facilitating the Wood Raffle. It is great to see Seth Jones, Danny Horan and Jason Gilbert showing great leadership in contributing to the community aspect of our club.
Our A-grade men gave us an absolute nail biter of a game to watch. An excellent full team undertaking got them over the line to win by 3 points. Jacob Wright had a cracker of a game locking himself in the best players top spot ?. Not only did he have a great day on the field he was cooking up a storm in the canteen also! ?
