An inaugural player in the 2017 season, Kim Bickerstaff has gone from strength to strength each and every season.
Bickerstaff started her career as a crafty forward pocket with great foot skills Kim’s confidence grew and soon she was utilising her hard running abilities on the wing. She was the recipient of the Most Improved award for her stellar development.
Kim is a dual premiership player with the Roosters, being an emergency in 2018 after battling niggling injuries. Kim’s greatest strength is her skills, her attention to detail and her running capacity. She is the ultimate team woman.
Serving as a trainer, often helping her teammates before games get out on the park as well as a coach with the Junior Girls Academy / Female Auskick, a committee member, volunteering in the scoreboard, BBQ shed and canteen as well as a range of other areas. Kim gives her all for her teammates and her club which speaks volumes for her character. Her pre-grand final cakes are legendary!
The number 4 can be seen racing up and down the wings on game day, creating space and opportunity for herself and others cheered on by her 3 biggest supporters – her kids!
Former coach Darcy Springhall had this to say on Kim, ahead of her 50th game. “Bickers has a natural knack for the game, she is a perfectionist who won’t stop working on her craft until it’s perfected. She can kick both sides of her body and is an incredibly smart player, one of the most driven and selfless players that’s pulled on the red and white”.
We would like to wish Kim all the best on this milestone and hope one day we see Kim’s daughter Jemma wearing the number 4 in the open women’s side!!
